Year 11 exam success 2015

Year 11 students at Regent High School have once again achieved strong results across a range of subjects, with some outstanding individual performances from many students.  Zahra Hussain (formerly of Edith Neville Primary School) achieved 3 A*, 6 A and 3 B grades, Thomas Tilbe attained 1A*, 8A grades and 2B grades and Nacima Ahmed (also of Edith Neville Primary School) scored 4 A*s, 4 As 2 B and 2 C grades.

The school’s results in the Triple Science subjects are particularly pleasing, with 82% of students achieving two or more Science GCSEs at grades A*-C.

The school also celebrates a 2% increase in the number of students achieving A*-C grades across the five English Baccalaureate (EBacc) subject areas, which reflects the increasing number of students who are choosing to study a language option as part of this challenging academic pathway.

Rosemary Leeke, Headteacher, commented, ‘We congratulate our students on their success, and acknowledge their hard work and determination through the two years of their Key Stage 4 studies.  I would like to thank staff for their hard work and commitment, and for the support they have provided to our students, as well as our students’ parents/carers for their ongoing support’.
